In today’s video tutorial, I’ll walk you through the different components of this die set, share a few fun ways to assemble the Christmas cracker, and inspire you with several card examples.
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE CHRISTMAS CRACKER DIE SET?
The set includes multiple dies designed to help you craft a Christmas cracker, complete with embellishments and foliage:

Main Cracker Body: Comprises an outer shape and a decorative drop-in insert. Layer them with different cardstock colors for contrast and detail.

Cracker Ends: Small decorative dies to finish the ends.

Ties & Bows: Two types of elements for added interest – I used red cardstock for my bows, but you can mix and match as you like.

Optional Garland Tab: Can be used as either a pull tab or decorative garland – your choice!

Sentiment Banner: A “Happy Holidays” banner is also included.

Foliage Elements: These festive pieces (think holly, leaves, and berries) are ideal for embellishing your cracker or other holiday projects.
A2 CARD WITH SINGLE CRACKER
I started with a simple A2 card showcasing one decorated cracker. I layered the body with red and white cardstock and added foliage around the edges. The background was embossed using my Molded Frame embossing folder from a previous release. A great, clean, and classic look!
TRIPLE CRACKER CARD – CLASSIC COLORS
For a more traditional feel, I created a card with three crackers in red, green, and white – classic Christmas colors. I added a “Holly Jolly Christmas” sentiment to the center and layered lots of foliage to tie the design together. So festive and fun!
GOLD & INDIGO GLAM
This one might be my favorite! I paired a mirror gold cracker with indigo cardstock for an elegant look. The sentiment, foiled in gold, reads: “At Christmas time and all year through, so thankful to have great friends like you.” I used the garland die along the bottom and added tiny white dots to the background with a Sakura white pen for a snowy effect.
BONUS INSPIRATION WITH THE FOLIAGE
If you’ve watched my other videos from this collection (Shadow Joy in particular), you’ve likely seen the foliage in action. I used it with the JOY die from the same release to create layered, nature-inspired accents. The berry dies are particularly clever – they come in two pieces, so you can layer contrasting cardstock colors. These small touches add depth and a professional finish to your projects.
The Christmas Cracker die set is perfect for creating holiday cards. Whether you stick with classic color palettes or experiment with bold, metallics like indigo and gold, the design options are endless.
