Hero Arts | Beary Valentine’s Day & Penguin Love You Cards

Did I mention I am not yet ready to put my Christmas stamps away? Christmas came way too early this year for me and I just want to keep playing with my Holiday-themed stamps for as long as I can! So you’ll have to excuse me using all sorts of Holidays images in my non-Christmas cards over the next few weeks.

Hero Arts has a fun Holiday Animals stamp set that I am particularly fond of this time of year, I am just now starting to enjoy it and I couldn’t resist using it to create two Love & Valentine’s Day cards. I have a fun Valentine’s Day card up on Hero Arts blog featuring a handsome bear and lots of love!

PLAYFUL VALENTINE’S DAY PENGUIN

My second project showcases a playful penguin all dressed up in a scarf and a hat for some fun winter outdoor activities.

This adorable little guy comes with a scarf, but I also decided I needed to a add a hat to complete his fashionable winter look. The hat came from another stamp set, Kelly’s Smitten Mitten. I colored both hat and scarf using Copics, and I used my go-to teal color combo (I’ll share all of my Copic color combos tomorrow).

I also stamped and die-cut a frame from the Holiday Tags set (I wanted to add something behind my penguin) and stamped Love You More from the You Are My Happy set.

I adhered all of these pieces onto an A2 top folding card base made out of gray cardstock, added some natural twine, stamped a few hearts and adhered several clear droplets.
