Altenew | Its a Wedding Season!
When I think of Summer I usually consider it the Wedding Season of the year. I had my cousin get married in early June and a few friend-couples had their their special day recently too so all of those Wedding events kept me pretty busy making Wedding Cards in my craft room. I’m ashamed to admit I did not have a single pre-made wedding card to just grab-and-go.
Here’s one of the Wedding cards I made in the last few weeks. I couldn’t help but reach for the Peony Bouquet stamps and matching dies from Altenew and paired those with white woodgrain cardstock. Its a rather simple project to make that shouldn’t take more than 30 mins (unless you are using the Peony Bouquet set for the first time – it might take you a little longer as there’s a bit of layering than needs to be done to have perfect images).
The sentiment for this card, Happy Wedding, came from another set – Vintage Flowers. I heat embossed it along with image outlines in gold embossing powder. To stamp the images I used a number of various ink colors – Buttercream, Mango Smoothie and Warm Sunshine for the yellow color; Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades for the green; and finally Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry and a touch of Ruby Red for the pink.
This card is also a part of the Altenew July Inspiration Challenge – Weddings! I’d love for you to join and create anything Wedding-related. See this post for details.

July 4, 2016you know I hated that cardstock at first? I was like – who would use something like this? And than I saw my friend use it on her card and I was sold. Now its my number 1 option. and wood grain too. love them both!

July 2, 2016Hey Yana – for the elements, did you heat emobss first and then stamp with color or did you do it the other way around?
Yana Smakula
July 4, 2016it depends on the stamp set, but usually I prefer to emboss first. The embossing does collect ink, but it doesn’t bother me.
