Altenew: A Watercolored With Love Card
This post is also available in Українською мовою
Hello everyone and happy Friday! I’m excited to be back home from our trip to Poland, hoping to spend some time in my craft room this weekend doing some stamping and die cutting, to tell the truth I’ve missed it! Anyhow, I am up on Altenew blog today sharing a Watercolored With Love card.
Unlike my previous project where I used Altenew inks to color a butterfly on regular white cardstock, I’ve used specialty watercolor paper for this card and I have to say the difference is humongous! I used a wet watercolor technique and applied clean water to my paper before anything else. I than pressed the ink pads onto a clear block, added some water, picked up color using a brush and added that onto my paper. I mixed only two colors here – Coral Berry and Warm Sunshine but I’m absolutely in love with the result! I would have never thought I’d be able to create a soft watercolor background like the one I have here. I will be definitely trying this again.
After my water colored background was dry I stamped the skyline from the Sketchy Cities Abroad, added with Love from the super Scrips 2 and also stamped Miss You and We Should Get Together. I wanted to combine several sentiments on this project and I think that worked out quite well.
