Spellbinders | Interior Design Inspired Cards – Glimmering Flowers. Video

Hello friends! In this blog post & video, I’m sharing cards inspired by interior design. I love to look at various interior design styles and solutions online and they often inspire me, a good example is my use of dark cardstock for the card backgrounds, that came to my cardmaking from dark interior design trends.

I’m creating with a new collection from Spellbinders – Glimmering Flowers. This collection features 2 floral Glimmer plates + coordinating coloring stencils and a set of glimmer sentiment plates & dies.

CARDS DETAILS

While I used the same products for all my cards, I did use different ink combinations to create different monochromatic looks. The card above features (all are Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks, but you can use any inks you like): Raindrop, Mist, Dew. The foiling was done using Aura foil. All cards panels were embossed using Geo Screen embossing folder. Sentiment was created using Mirrored Arch Blooms Press Plate and Mirrored Arch Dies.

Example below features a different color combination: Royal, Cadette, Marine, foiled in Gold.

For the next card, I used: Galaxy, Twilight, and Morning. Foiled in Matte Gold.

The last card was done using Mandarin, Grapefruit, and Peachy. Foiled in Matte Gold.
