STAMPtember is HERE! | Circle Sentiments Christmas Cards
Well, friends, here it is – the biggest, the bestest, the most anticipated month in the stamping community – STAMPtember by Simon Says Stamp! To celebrate this event Simon Says Stamp is hosting a big blog & Instagram party sharing inspiration with the new products. I’m delighted to join the party with a trio of Christmas cards featuring two new stamp sets and a simple, anyone card do it, design.

CARD DETAILS
I love the new Wood Planks background stamp. It is a classic design that works for so many different projects. Here I used it for Christmas cards, but it works for every day, Birthday, Miss You and so many other occasions. My stamping was done in watermark ink on colored cardstock for a tone on tone look. I stamped my background on Fog, Cotton Candy, and Sea Glass cardstock panels.
Another favorite of mine in this release is a set of Circle Sentiments. It is a basic set with various font words to make your own custom Christmas Card messages. I liked the ability to mix and match the words and so I stamped 3 different panels for my cards – “Merry Christmas Wishes to You and Yours”, “A Very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year From Our Family to Yours”, and “Sending You Holiday Wishes”.
I used black ink for most of my stamping and instead of adding a stamped circle outline I just used a circle die from my stash to cut the panel out. I also stamped a vertical line and added circle panels at the end of that line creating the illusion of Christmas ornaments. I don’t think this is the proper way this line was intended to be used, but I envisioned ornaments and so it worked well as a string for my cards.
I also did some die cutting using “embellishment” dies from Spellbinders’ Sunday Drive with Santa dies – I die cut little leaves and poinsettias from red and green cardstock to embellish my ornaments. I like how they added a pop of color to my cards.
And lastly, I embellished my cards with Silver Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.
LET’S PARTY!
