Simon Says Stamp | Happy Holidays Card. Video

Hello friends! While there’s still time before Christmas I wanted to share a couple additional easy Holiday card ideas. I have a few made that I’ll post during the next few days. First up is the “Happiest of Holidays” card that features some white heat embossing and tone on tone stamping.

VIDEO TUTORIAL

As always, I filmed a video tutorial showing how to create this project from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it. Watch it below or on my Facebook page:

CARD DETAILS

I started making this card by white heat embossing the Mod Trees background on light blue cardstock. I’ve already share a few card ideas with this fun background, you can see those HERE and HERE in case you missed them.

Next, I created the focal panel with a beautiful sentiment by Cathy Zielske – I white heat embossed “Wishing you the happiest of holidays” on red cardstock and trimmed it into a small banner-like shape.

To add some sparkle to my card I backed the sentiment panel with gold glitter paper (I love this paper from Simon Says Stamp) trimmed into the same shape – I foam mounted both onto my card in the center. Additionally, I stamped several tone on tone snowflakes by using embossing ink.

Lastly, I added a simple teal enamel bow from my stash – you can easily skip this step if you don’t have a bow like this, or add a die-cut bow instead.

    1. For some reason I’m not able to play the video. Don’t know if it’s something on my end or your’s. In any event, thanks for sharing this card idea.

    1. Great card. In the age of dies, sometimes we forget that we can use scissors to create banners too. Thank you.
