It’s STAMPtember! | WPlus9 Exclusive – Humble & Kind

Hello, friends and welcome back for another “It’s STAMPtember!” post! This time I am sharing a dainty pencil colored card using WPlus9 exclusive stamp set called Humble & Kind.

I wanted to also thank everyone of you for your sweet comments! I love reading them! Thank you so much for always taking the time to comment on my posts! I hardly ever reply (guilty!) but I read and cherish every comment from you guys!

I am a huge fan of WPlus9 and I adore all of their floral sets. They always push me and inspire me to be better at coloring and encourage me to try new things. To create today’s card I used heat embossing and Polychromos pencils.

CARD DETAILS

I started working on this smaller, 4 Bar, card by heat embossing a sentiment in white embossing powder onto Simon’s Fog cardstock panel. Next, I stamped and heat embossed tulips; I overlapped the two images a tiny bit and used a dry paint brush and remove any embossing powder that overlapped the sentiment. I learned this cool trick from my friend Svitlana from craftwalks.com.

I picked Polychromos pencils from Faber Castell to color the tulip cluster. You can also use Prismacolor pencils or any other coloring medium. The reason I went with Polychromos – I love these more compared to my Prismacolors and I also adore how pencils look on non white paper, they give that nice opaque coverage you can’t get with markers. Obviously I still have a lot to learn when it comes to coloring with pencils – practice does make perfect and I am really enjoying my process so far.

Once my coloring was done I foam mounted this panel onto a 4 Bar white card base and embellished my card using a few sequins from Simon’s Vintage Chic set.

    1. This is such a beautiful set and Yana your card is simply stunning! A great tip from Svitlana, I have tried this myself and it is fantastic, way quicker than masking and with such a small overlap, masking isn’t necessary.

    1. Wow, you coloured these tulips just beautifully!! I’ve never heard of this type of pencil so it’s something new to check out

    1. I really love coloring with Prismas. Have not heard much about the polychrome pencils and am curious what about them you like better than the Prismas. Very pretty card. I love pink and gray. So pretty and feminine together. Thank you, Yana.
