Altenew | Vintage-inspired Rose Stamped Patterns. Video + Giveaway (now closed)
My taste has changed dramatically since I started scrapbooking and cardmaking back in 2008. I remember I used to dislike flowers, when I look back at some of my first projects – none used flowers or foliage. And now? Now I can’t make a card without blooms, I think this might be due to abundance of gorgeous floral stamps that are now available from so many different manufacturers.
Today I’m sharing a card using Vintage Roses stamp set from Altenew featuring a vintage-inspired rose stamped pattern.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
I am sharing video tutorial along with a few tips on how to stamp a pattern like this one and spend as little time as possible. Watch video below or on my Youtube Channel:

CARD DETAILS
The trick to stamping a pattern like this one (and stamping process not taking too much time) is stamping the base layer of all images first. So instead of stamping each color layering image from start to finish (and some of these flowers have 4 layers), I first stamped all base layers and I also used just one color of ink for all base flower layers – Blush (if you’d like to take a closer look at Altenew inks I’ve shared an ink chart HERE).
Next I filled in the spaces in between the flowers with leaves and again I used only one color of ink for all of the leaf images – Sea Glass.
To stamp everything else I used the following ink colors: Blush, Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy (for small flowers), Perfect Peach, Rouge and Blush (for large flower) and Sea Glass, Ocean Waves (for the leaves). I also used several flower center stamps from the Vintage Flowers set to fill in the empty spaces I had in between the flowers and leaves.
I also did some spotlight die cutting, I die cut a circle and a square in my stamped pattern to help spotlight the sentiment. The die cut shapes were foam mounted in place and added a bit of interest to the card. To create my sentiment I used Super Script stamp and matching die and stamped Hello; I also used additional sentiments from the Painted Butterflies set and heat embossed You Inspire Me and You’re Amazing using Platinum embossing powder.
I could not resist adding a few brass and gold sequins to my card as well as occasional clear drop here and there.
