Honey Bee | Floral Hello Card + Giveaway (Now Closed)

Hello, friends! I have the pleasure of being a guest designer on Honey Bee blog today sharing a very simple Floral Hello card. If you’ve been following me you know that lately I’ve been enjoying making smaller size cards so here I created a 4 Bar card (card base measures 3 ½” x 4 ⅞”).

I started working on this card by heat embossing several floral images from the Hello Gorgeous stamp set in gold embossing powder onto white cardstock. I used my Copic markers and did some quick coloring (I used RV14, RV13 and RV11 to color pinks, YG17 and YG03 to color green and Y19, Y15 and Y11 to color yellow).
I die-cut images out in my Platinum 6 die cutting machine using coordinating dies. After arranging the die cut florals into a cluster I realized I needed to add some additional stamping so I stamped a few more images in gray ink directly onto my card base. I love to use gray on white as it adds a nice subtle detail without being overpowering. Using foam adhesive I foam mounted floral overlapping the background stamping.
For my sentiment I went with a simple Hello. I first stamped “Hello” directly onto the card base using gray ink and later adhered a die-cut hello on top. Latter was foam mounted and offset slightly for a pop of dimension. Lastly, I added little accents using black liquid enamel dots.
