STAMPtember® Blog Party - Bold Leaves Christmas Tree

STAMPtember® Blog Party – Bold Leaves Christmas Tree

Hello friends and happy STAMPtember®! I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for their Blog Party and share inspiration with the new products. I shared a video and 2 card ideas yesterday, today I have a card with the Bold Leaves Cling Background stamp.

I wanted to stamp a bold graphic tree on my card, I was able to do that using a bit of masking. First, I masked the triangle shape on a white cardstock panel using masking paper. I marked the corners of the tree with a pencil and used that as a guide. It did take me several attempts to get a successful image. I stamped the image using my MISTI tool and light green ink.

I used a YG03 Copic marker to color over any imperfections where the stamp was touching the edges of the masking paper, as it didn’t stamp perfectly in that spot.

Next, I foiled the Season’s Greetings sentiment in Matte Silver foil. I trimmed my panel slightly and foam-mounted it onto the A2 card base. I added red and silver gems and white dots using a pen to dress the tree up. Card is done!
