Spellbinders CHA Roundup – Day #2
This post is also available in Українською мовою
Welcome to Day 2 of the Spellbinders CHAW’16 Sneak Peak Blog Hop! I am beyond excited to feature some of our newest die templates that will be released at the Winter 2016 Mega Show in Anaheim! Be sure to enter the giveaway at the end of this post for your chance to win new dies I used for my projects.
I had the pleasure of working with 2 different dies – S4-488 Savoy Dec Accent and S4-581 Houndstooth Texture Plate.
Lets start with the Houndstooth texture plate first. I created 4 cards using different techniques to show you the versatility of this texture plate. There are so many ways you can use texture plates to have fantastic results on your projects. I started by “cutting” the design onto Gold Mirror Cardstock. Texture plates do not actually cut anything, but you can still use them with your cutting sandwich to have a beautiful result. You end up having a textured-like look on your cardstock:
Like many other Spellbinders dies, you can use texture plates to emboss. This is what I did for my second card. But I not only embossed the design onto grey cardstock, I also inked up my texture plate with white pigment ink and ended up having a letterpressed-like look:
Here’s a close up of this project:
I’ve filmed a video tutorial to show you how easy it is to use texture plates. You can watch it below or on Spellbinders Youtube channel:

I may not post to my website every day, but you can count on me crafting daily. I’ve encouraged others to participate in the CHA blog hop through tweets at https://twitter.com/guneauxdesigns .
