Altenew Blog Hop! Video! Giveaways! (Giveaway now closed)
This post is also available in Українською мовою
Welcome to Altenew’s third Blog Hop! Altenew is a relatively new stamp company that opened it’s doors in April 2014. Today they are celebrating the release of their third collection of stamps. All the stamps that you will see here are available for purchase at the Altenew store and the Simon Says Stamp store.
I’m sharing a few modern holiday cards using two of my most favorite stamps – Festive Silhouettes and Invisible Aplha. These are super flat white + black + yellow cards. I was going for a non traditional color combo.
For my first card I stamped a holiday message in the background using Soft Vanilla ink from Hero Arts and added a reindeer with a bow and an ornament on top. I did some fake stitching on my sewing machine, or I should say I only pieced holes in my stamped panel, I did not want to add stitching to this card.
I also scattered a few woodgrain looking starts from Studio Calico and adhered my panel to a yellow card base:
For my second card I reversed the design – I first stamped the reindeer in Soft Vanilla, then added a sentiment in black:
I also used my sewing machine and added some random stitching to somehow frame this piece and finally added my panel to a yellow card base:
I also have one more card to share, this one has a more traditional design and is done in white and silver:
If you’d like to know how I made these cards, please watch my video below or on Youtube. Supplies for these cards are listed at the end of this post.
