Clean & Simple Die Cutting #32 | Inlaid Peacock Feathers Background

This post is also available in Українською мовою

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing another Clean & Simple Die Cutting episode using feather dies (these are sadly discontinued, but I am linking to similar at the end of my post) from Spellbinders and stamps from Clearly Besotted.

This post is from the bi-weekly “Clean & Simple Die Cutting” series (retired).

I love backgrounds! I love stamped backgrounds, inked backgrounds, die cut backgrounds! As long as the background is handmade – I love it!

Like this project? Pin it and save for later

I wanted to create a feather background for a long time and I have already shared one with you last week where I used leftover pieces of pattern paper to die cut feathers and create a stitched background.

Today I’m sharing something different – an inlaid die cutting technique I learned from Jennifer McGuirre. I also talk about how you can make your feathers look like real peacock feathers and how to properly add pressure to make sure your die cut elements stick to the double sided sticky tape.

VIDEO TUTORIAL

As always, I filmed a video tutorial showing how to create this project from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it. Watch it below or on my Youtube channel.

Like this video? Please give it a big thumbs up and share with a crafty friend! Drop me a comment too, I love hearing from you!

    1. I enjoyed watching you create this beautiful card. I think I will try with butterflies.

    1. Thanks for sharing this wonderful technique. Love that you created more than one card and share the mistakes as well.

    1. Stunning cards!! At first glance I thought you had also used Jennifer’s multi embossing powder technique! The powder your used has amazing results….will have to purchase some. The inlaid die cut technique is one of my favorites!
