Simon Says Stamp | Sending Valentine’s Day Hugs – Hey Love!
Hey Love – this is the name of a new Valentine’s Day release from Simon. I love to make non traditional Valentine’s Day cards, so I pulled out my favorite Audrey Blue cardstock and some critter stamps (love using critter images lately!) and made this quick and fun project.

CARD DETAILS
I started by creating a background for my project. I used new Drawn Hearts stencil and texture paste and created a fun textured pattern for this card. While it was drying I stamped, colored and cut out a monkey and a cat from the Baby Party Animals stamp set. I used Copic markers and went with warm and cool gray colors (I’m listing the colors I used at the end of my post in the Supplies section).
For my sentiment I used two stamp sets. The Sending You Valentine’s Day Hugs comes from the Sending and Wishing set and the text heart comes from the new Love and Quotes set. Both were heat embossed in WOW detail white embossing powder onto Audrey Blue panel. I also added a few tiny hearts to complete the project.
SIMON’S NEW HEY LOVE RELEASE
Have you seen Simon’s newest Hey Love Release? Just in time for Valentine’s Day! See new goodies here. My favorites? The two stencils (Large Falling Hearts and Drawn Hearts) and Kristina’s Love stamp set.

December 16, 2016Valentine releases made me a bit sad every year. They happen in the middle of holidays and kind of remind that holidays will be over soon. But if course I understand why they happen now.
Your card is adorable! Great colors. Love how you placed these cuties inside of the heart.

January 13, 2017I love your colors! I don’t care for a lot of Pink and try not to use too many ‘traditional’ colors on each holiday, so your design was perfect! Thank you!
