Clean & Simple Die Cutting #45. Let us celebrate the day of your birth with cake

Hello, friends! Its another Thursday which means its time to share a new Clean & Simple Die Cutting video! Today I will be working with a fabulous Roses and Thorns S5-235 die from Spellbinders to create a bright feminine Birthday Card. You might have already seen this project on Spellbinders Youtube channel as it has been uploaded there some time ago. If not – grab a cuppa and enjoy!

I used only a few dies from the Roses and Thorns S5-235 set, the two large corner dies were a bit too big for this A2 card so I only used roses, leaves and accent dies. The little white swirl elements were created by using the accent die and tearing the swirly elements from the middle element (I hope this makes sense). I also die cut some pink and yellow roses and green leaves. All of the roses had to be embossed as embossing gives a lot of details to these little pieces.

For my sentiment I used Let us celebrate the day of your birth with cake from Avery Elle. Its such a sweet sentiment, don’t know why I’ve never used it before. Instead of using white cardstock I heat embossed my sentiment on grey and used white embossing powder, I didn’t want to have any black ink on this card. The roses were adhered using foam adhesive for some additional dimension and the leaves and swirls were added using glue. I also embellished this card using white pearls and added glitter to the roses using my Wink of Stella glitter pen.
